Acosta Sales & Marketing Senior Insights Manager (CPG)* in Seattle, Washington

The Senior Insights Manager will Integrate, synthesize, and interpret multiple data sources that provide first-hand knowledge of the shopper, consumer, and market, the incumbent will identify shopper trends, insights, and business opportunities and recommend solutions that benefit both the client and our retail customers. Enable best-in-class understanding of consumers and shoppers thru integration of all data sources including those sourced from the client.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist in developing new consumer and shopper insights through the robust analysis of internal and external data sources.

  2. Helps interpret insights to support the commercialization of those insights into Shopper Marketing strategies and Shopper Inspired Principles

  3. Partners closely with Shopper Marketing, Category Management and Shopper Insights to support analyses that enable data based decisions regarding the shopper and consumer

  4. Collaborates with field based sales teams to support their planning process by helping identify strategic opportunities.

  5. Craft compelling, fact-based presentations for audiences with different levels of experience and seniority

  6. Contributes data based input into the key CPG customer initiatives (e.g. new item launches) and key presentations

  7. Provides analytical insights that helps the customer teams succeed

  8. Understanding of shopper research fundamentals including experimental design, statistics, primary research techniques

  9. Comfortable in a “selling” role interfacing with our key CPG customers

  10. Able to collect and sort data of a confidential and complex nature

  11. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • 6+ years CPG industry experience, including 3+ years in research

  • Demonstrated success at leveraging insights to drive business results

  • Experience working shopper marketing or analyst roles in traditional CPG companies

  • Experience working with point of sale and household panel data

  • Working knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research techniques

  • Ability to analyze data from many sources to make productive recommendations

  • Able to create compelling category stories

  • Able to creatively represent data visually for strong and effective communication of ideas and recommendations

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others from diverse functions

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

  • Proficient in setting priorities, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple projects

  • Able to quickly adapt to business challenges and changing circumstances and acts to minimize or eliminate negative impacts

  • Able to handle and manage confidential information when working internal and externally

  • Proficient knowledge of point of sale data, in a household panel data

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint
